The Attica Historical Society is proud to share the information for the rededication ceremony of the Chapel at Forest Hill by the Attica Landmark Preservation Society. It will be held on Saturday, May 23rd at the Chapel. The ceremony starts at 11 am sharp. This event is rain or shine. You may bring lawnchairs if you like. Thank you all for helping to save and restore this historical building.

The Attica Historical Society of Wyoming County, New York,
was founded in November of 1937 by Miss Marion Stevens.
Miss Stevens used the original parlor of Judge Alden Stevens’
house (photo) to store and display artifacts. In 1951 the Stevens
family donated both the parlor and the land for an addition
to the Attica Historical Society to be used as a museum.
The parlor was moved to its current site, facing Main Street.
Later additions were made with the most recent one
occurring in 1994. The museum is filled with a varied
collection of objects that relate to the Attica area and cover
over a century of time. All objects in the collection have been
donated by local families and interested persons.
Parking is behind the Stevens Memorial Community Library
